20 days ago I posted an update on the project "Unfortunately, I decided that I would have to avoid using the Y duct and my custom made silencers if I wanted to achieve maximum noise reduction. 😢"
I spent quite a bit of time making and fitting these pieces in which is a shame. I have now removed the Y duct / custom silencers and here is what I did next in the hot air compartment.
1) Used metal tape to cover any exposed wood.
2) Cut the soundproofing foam to size and applied it to the floor and walls.
3) Double foam wall used near the inner wall, and single near the outer wall.
4) Used metal tape to cover any areas near the miner hot air exhaust.
5) Used metal tape to fully cover the outer exhaust vents
