Just submitted my first application in a nearby suburb. Hoping to hear back soon. 🙏
In highschool, I was convinced I'd aim at becoming a firefighter. I loved the physicality of the job, as well as the service to my community.
I ended up taking an admittedly great deal from a private university for a 4 year degree. I don't regret that. I've acquired skills and a reached a sustainable living. But I'm still curious if I may find something for me in that original aspiration.
This week I plan to find out how (and if) I can serve as a volunteer firefighter. 🤙⚔️
