I have created my first ever compost pile! Hopefully a hot one aka Humanure’s style, though sans poop (for now 🤣😆). Weirdly excited. Relatively not smelly when I poured sawdust-covered buckets in, which was nice.
Straw bales are WAY bigger than I remember when I was younger and had a horse tho. And I’ve no good spot to set my exploded one except under the porch, right next to the house, where it’s dry. Hopefully that won’t attract vermin or if it does the neighborhood outdoor cat helps out. 😬
