If you own land in Montgomery County, MD (except in the cities of Rockville and Gaithersburg) then you are probably eligible to get free native shade trees planted on your lot. TreeMontgomery planted 58 trees in my HOA's common areas. They planted 3 trees on my lot.
These are not tiny saplings. Each tree was over 10 feet tall. Schools, businesses, apartment communities, religious organizations, private lands-- all are eligible.
