In the UK the biggest thing is shoplifters stealing and reselling alcohol.
I always laugh when I hear the narrative about a single mother stealing bread to feed her family. 99% of shoplifters are people who either resell for a living or just want it for free.
There are the usual suspects here, namely Gypos who feel entitled to take what the want, but a surprising amount of little old ladies do it.
They'll steal a bunch of shit (Meat, Coffee, Alcohol) and sell it 50% off to people who know her. Most often it's people on pensions or Benefits (Welfare) do it to top up there cash with little work required. Oh, and homeless people too.
