Well. I’ve just emailed my supervisors explaining that I have requested a permanent withdrawal from my PhD programme. I’m sad about it but I don’t feel I have any choice, as thinking about going back was causing suicidal thoughts. Staying alive is more important than getting a PhD. I’m deeply disappointed though that bipolar has fucked me over yet again, so I’m having a little cry.
