I have such a strong nostalgia for old games that were built off the same engine and you could just tell.
E.g., DOOM engine games, Source engine games, Scumm games, etc.
Even something like being able to tell that Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance PS2 and Champions of Norrath are in the same engine. Gosh, what else? There are more I just can't think of any right now.
