OK this is very weird. Could be more hardware related than software.
Can you be a little more specific with how it is corrupting the data during transfer?
What is the filesystem formats and partition tables used on the hard drives sending / receiving the data?
Have you performed a hard drive performance and health check to ensure the HDD (spinning rust) is not itself damaged in someway? If it is then you are wasting your time.
