i've said this many times, but something i never understood was those 'reading comprehension' parts of standardized tests. who the fuck is so dumb they cant make the out basic contention of a paragraph?
the answer would be at least 80% of the population. and it's not just book knowledge, i have seen this in real life for decades. very few xdogs short of PhD level can read something, figure out what is being argued, and respond to it. and the PhD simply parrot ideology worked out centuries ago.
