Reminds me of Hacker News when I was on there. Not overt Trump-style hate so much as an obsession with logical purity and technological power; outrage at any limits on freedom; and—most of all—cold disregard for anyone who might be harmed by tech progress. Those concerns were derided as "emotional".
I think some people are drawn to machines because they have no emotional connections to people. That—more than anything—seems to be at the core of technofascism: absolute indifference.
