Not being able to edit or delete is more important than some popular yutz's desire to backtrack.
I'm hardcore team noedit. It's one of the best features of Nostr for most of the social media implementations. I hate that edits were ever enabled in some clients (poorly, IMO).
Moving away from kind1 notes would be fine, as there are already editable and ephemeral kinds, but those aren't the "social" kinds.
Basically, nut up and jump it. Stand by what you say and be man enough to admit that you've changed your mind, if that's the case
