Whats the purpose of teaching from corinthians in regards to sex roles if you aren't going to clarify who or what the corinthian women were?

Absolutely terrible preaching today. Society isn't dying because men aren't "manning up", its dying because women are excused from any and all responsibility and allowed to "whore out" at any and every opportunity.
