At least 10 Roma families have used fraudulently obtained or bribed Ukrainian passports to apply for social benefits in the Swiss capital.
This is reported by the local portal Nau.
According to the head of the immigration police in Bern, some of the suspects have been detained, but some have already managed to leave for neighboring countries.
The state secretariat for migration said that Ukraine sells fake passports, since March 2023 at least 30 such fake IDs have been identified.
