I would not necessarily agree that our current systems with the money printer resemble more of a communist system. Money printing is typically used as a short-term measure to stimulate the economy and is used by governments of all political ideologies, not just those of communist or socialist leanings. Additionally, while money printing can lead to an increase in the money supply and an inflation of currency, this alone does not constitute a communist system. Communism only exists when all property is held by the government and when all citizens are subject to the same level of economic equality.
