I find it extraordinarily providential that we are going through the Epistle to the Galatians in Adult Sunday School right now, when the questions about ethnic Israel and the 'land grant' are resurfacing yet again.
Premillennial Dispensationalism has done such immeasurable harm to the church and to the world. Ideas have consequences. Bad ideas have bad consequences.
There is only one who can lay claim to any kind of 'divine right' to that little slice of land in the Middle East (because he lays claim to the entire cosmos), and that person is Christ Jesus--the Israel of God. It was promised only to him (see Galatians) and only he may claim it.
And one day, perhaps soon, he will.
