If you're new to bitcoin you're probably thinking you're late. You are wrong. As you learn about it you'll find out that people from previous cycles felt more or less the same as they started their journey. You'll have the advantage of learning from their mistakes or you can be stubborn about it.
Later on you'll probably wonder if dollar cost average is better than lump sum. TL;DR it is not. You're earlier than you imagine considering what the average person will be able to afford in a few years. As for OG status and other similar entities, the cutoff was somewhere around 2014. That ship has sailed unless you're some wonder kid, so don't hurt your pretty brain by thinking too much about it now.
Bitcoin pays you to learn about it, so definitely persevere. Ask anything in good faith and be open to the idea that you're probably a moron at this stage, especially if you think you're smart. There are no stupid questions, there's only ignorance to be cleared. At one point you'll want to orange pill others, as they say. That is a trap and you are way better of. Bitcoin doesn't need proselytizing, it really really doesn’t! Bitcoin doesn't have a marketing department, but only the NGU engineers. Respect the NGU technology and bitcoin will take care of you.
Also meme, definitely meme your way forward. The brutal and lower resolution the memes, the better the learning experience. You'll probably find out you are on the spectrum. Embrace your inner autism, this is why you were able to notice bitcoin in the first place.
