When my mother was in a nursing home some years ago, it was not *quite* as bad as this one seems.
But going there to share a meal with her was...horrible.
She loved good food. And had all her marbles. She tried to work with the "chef" at first. But when it became clear that his major tools were a blender and a microwave, she finally gave up.
We smuggled in a lot of goodies.
