Have not paid attention--our local water supply and supplier seem okay--but nationally I know we've got a helluva lot of old pipes, lead pipes, etc., and people like to complain but don't want to pay to fix stuff. There are, I believe, still places with white oak pipes, for example. So we get "Don't raise our taxes!" along with "Why is our water service so crappy??"
Same as complaining about the lousy schools but god forbid we should pay teachers well or get rid of asbestos.
