Sometimes you'll hear people say a current uprising or war is difficult to have an opinion on, because it's so messy and violent. Sometimes they'll wish things were simple like they were during previous revolutions or wars.
I have to tell you: for people living through them those wars and revolutions were just as messy and problematic.
The reason you can't see any simple moral struggles around you today is because that version of them won't exist until we write it later. It's still being made.
