MGS series would lose nothing if it didn't have gameplay inserts at all. And it would definitely win, if there was no MGSV.
I've never played MGSV. I read about the absolute pyle of garbage of its plot but I suppose it is more of a game, than of a long cutscene (just like CoD) unlike the rest of the series.
