And those challenges are also made even more challenging depending on the D-Bus library you use to integrate with. But it's also kinda a de-facto standard on Linux today.\n\nSo I wonder, if varlink can step up and become a D-Bus replacement ... how fast would that happen? And how quickly would Linux distributions pick up this?\n\nI would love to make use of better alternatives. But I can't really start planning for it until it's becoming more widely used.\n\nAnd that's kind a the crux of this ... when will we see this getting adopted into Linux distros?",
