We went to see a production of Der Vampyr by Gothic Opera at the Arcola last night and it was so good! Some great tunes, but especially how they played it; hilarious and shlocky, poking fun at the source material and a lot of modern vampire tropes. I also loved how they reinterpreted the original 1828 plot to make it about women's agency, sexuality, and consent 🧛🏻♀️❤️
