And, well, there's no canonical pronunciation of my nick. I usually say "sky" just like you, but there's also people arguing that it should be pronounced as in "science" or "cyber" because that's how "sc" at the beginning of an English word usually works.
And since the name originally came from "scytale", which rhymes with "Italy" ("sitterly"), there's an argument to be made to pronounce it "ßi" with a sharp s and a short i 😬
