"content": "thanks! Yes that is a great idea. None of our native species flower before March but quite a few keep their fruits throughout winter; like sloes, rowans, and hollies.\n\nWe raised the back of our yard years ago, and planted the snowberries on it. They keep light away so no weeds grow underneath, and the lose earth is easy for solitary bees to drill their tunnels into. So inadvertantly we created a full-service housing area for them. 😄",
