Yet as a culture, we are usually more concerned with the livelihoods, feelings, and egos of men when it comes to violence against women. There literally had to be a cultural movement in order to normalize believing women's accounts of abuse and sexual assault.
A few years ago I posted on fb about how a strange man had left a note on my car in front of my home with his phone number and how uncomfortable it had made me. I included a picture of the note along with the number he left.
