The game is not to sell assets in order to get more dollars, euros,…
The game is to get more dollars, euros,.. in order to get more assets.
That is the reason why 99% of people never escape the middle class or rat race.
They buy assets and as soon as it turns into a profit they sell it while feeling a genius by doing that (and probably use that money to by some stupid things)
