If you want to be censored by and barred from association with your people by the bureaucrats by all means that is your decision. This sounds very anti-European, and anti-human rights. Don’t let a smear piece keep you away from superior technology.
I find it strange that the nostr founder would create a protocol that allows for the human rights of free speech and freedom of association. This does not sound authoritarian to me. In fact, the nostr protocol allows for free dissemination of all viewpoints, even the one that the creator disagrees with, which he is powerless to stop.
If you really care for European products and services, there are many to choose from built on top of the nostr protocol.
For instance you can check iris messenger ( iris.to ), primal.net, snort.social, habla.news, highlighter.com, olas, and find many more European nostr apps (you might check nostr tagged apps on github etc).
You can also find hundreds of European relays on nostr.watch relay explorer.
