It seems to me it should've been a bigger story, but Arizona's previous MAGA governor pulled a $200 million political stunt and built 3.5 miles of barrier along the US Mexico border with shipping containers. They were removed a year ago, but Texas followed suit and, from photos I've seen recently, at least some of those containers are still there. Now Berkeley is doing the same thing so they can level People's Park.
Something tells me we are going to see a lot more of this in the future because it's cheap and quick and presents an interesting tactical challenge for protesters.
And the other hand, we like interesting tactical challenges 😈
