Patreon said this was coming all the way back in December. Patreon made the decision to sell digital goods. Apple charges 30% for digital goods and subscriptions. Apple gave Patreon 11 months to build in IAP or risk removal from the app store. Patreon made a choice to move forward with this. Existing subscribers are grandfathered. New subscribers starting in November will be affected. Subscribers can still use the web. This isn't new, just new moral outrage.
