Yah, I think you're right and I haven't made it a priority either.
I did a lot of ssb onboarding over local wifi back in the day, as it was insanely fast compared to onboarding someone via the Internet. I probably onboarded myself between devices more than I onboarded others!
But I keep returning to this idea that the original scuttlebutt was the ultimate p2p app and those of us who experienced it for real (before it sunk) are chasing after the dream of it.
