We can see the situation is far from perfect, but there is reason for hope! It's clear from these results that all major browser engines (Chromium, Gecko, WebKit) have the capability to use encrypted DNS, but they need to actually turn encryption on by default. It's primarily a question of deciding to do it, rather than needing to wait for any new technology.
