In February 2024, a former model and Miss Switzerland finalist was allegedly murdered by her husband, who then reportedly d*smembered her and "pureed" the remains in a blender.
Local news outlet BZ Basel reported that Thomas, 41, confessed to killing his wife, with whom he had two children.
He admitted to the killing during a crime reconstruction in March, and claimed it was in self-defence after she attacked him with a knife.
The court’s ruling revealed that Ms. Joksimovic was strangled, and her body was subsequently di*membered in a laundry room using a jigsaw, knife, and garden shears.
Some of the body parts were then "pureed" with a hand blender and dissolved in a chemical solution.
Thomas was arrested the day after Ms. Joksimovic’s body was discovered.
Initially, he told investigators he had found her dead and dis*embered her body in a panic.
