My first reaction to #Sora, the #OpenAI text-to-video #AI tech, was a familiar internal volte-face. From "That's cool" to "No! Stop! Burn the disks and the print outs!" in about 50 nanoseconds.
We're not ready for this stuff. AI demands socialism or UBI as a prerequisite and we're still electing conservatives...
I increasingly think we need to park all this for a decade or two. Think about what it all means, and let everyone decide if we want it, not just tech bros.
