🇺🇸 TRUMP TO TARGET CHINA’S SHIPPING DOMINANCE WITH NEW ORDER
Trump is expected to sign a new order this week to grow America’s shipbuilding industry and cut China’s control over global shipping.
The order would charge extra fees at U.S. ports for any ship that’s part of a fleet with Chinese-built or Chinese-flagged vessels.
It also warns U.S. allies: adopt similar rules or risk facing penalties from the U.S.
Lawmakers say China’s shipping power poses a threat to U.S. military strength and economic security.
