People have watched the music business fall apart over the last 20 years to the point where average people cannot make a living at it and only the elite few do well, but they still go online and defend it all and insist it's all working fine.
The same people will complain about how other stupid people can't see the damage from climate change, capitalism, etc.
It's hard to see things when they bump up against your biases and what you'd like to be true.
