When I get stuck writing for $dayjob, I've found forcing the words mostly increases the amount of editing I have to do later.
I am realizing that when I exercise my curiosity about *anything*, it tends to increase it about *everything*, including any stuck writing.
Writing my thoughts in response to curiosity mostly decreases the amount of editing I have to do later. It often also sparks useful new ideas and questions when otherwise I was drawing blanks.
