A pension I started paying into when I was 19 has found me again.
Back then, I was a dropout in an abusive relationship who assumed I'd never get any qualifications and would be working my shitty minimum-wage job in a bank call centre for years. So I took out a pension.
A few years later, my life had changed. A lot. And I forgot about it.
Then yesterday I got a letter from the company saying "hey, we tracked you down, we think you're the owner of this money".
It was genuinely haunting.
