If there is a spectrum of technical ability, I am much closer to a normie than to a shadowy super-coder. There were two frustrating parts to the whole setup, though.
First was setting up Lightning with OCEAN. Because they are entirely No-KYC, they have a bit of a convoluted means of verifying that the BOLT12 invoice is related to the same person who is associated with the Bitcoin address that is your only "user ID" with them. Required some signing of messages on my ColdCard, and getting what needed to be signed exactly correct...
Second was figuring out why I couldn't send the funds I received to my CLN node over to my main Lightning Wallet, which is running on the same hardware, but on a LND node using Alby Hub. Turned out that I had to have 50k sats in my CLN wallet before anything in excess of that amount would be spendable.
