Only leave 1/2 leaves, you can even cut them in half. Less water will transpire from the plant. Put in shade, you could try a humidity dome as well if you are in a dry area.
If you are able to do a flood and drain system, even better.
I’m not sure if those plants root easily, mulberry, elderberry, sweet potato, mint would be some good ones to start with - give you some success.
