Don't do it. El Salvador is extremely overpriced. There is many government shills trying to shill the country and lying that the whole country is adopting Bitcoin quickly. They are also getting their shills to buy real estate because El Salvador will be the next Singapore.
Singapore isn't even a good country. It's extremely overcrowded and overpriced. You need to be super rich to have decent things like a car.
The reality of it is Bitcoin adoption is slow because most people are barely surviving and wages per month there are so tiny that the average El Salvadoran doesn't have the means to save money. They are busy trying to survive then worrying about Bitcoin.
The government Bitcoin wallet caused lots of probkems and corruption. Lots of fake applications in order to get those 30 dollars.
That's what happens when governments give free money. Let's not forget the fancy picture of the Bitcoin City that the government promised to make. Oh and I so heard they refuse to let the public verify how much Bitcoin their Bitcoin miners are making.
Since it's a tiny country they have been pricing real estate 3 times or more trying to sell it to Bitcoiners. Bitcoiners moving there has also caused everyday prices of normal things to skyrocket
I've also heard that they have a national id called in Spanish "cedula" and that national id is required in almost every store when you purchase things. There was a story of a guy who bought things at a hardware store and they charged him the wrong price. When he got home they called him and told him to come back because they made a mistake on the price. He asked how did you get my number?
They told when he scanned the national id it has all his information.
Go look at some of the YouTube videos about El Salvador. You will see many Bitcoiners calling out the lies of the video channels. Bitcoiners are not so stupid. They know value of Bitcoin and Bitcoiners are able to critically think and won't get fooled by real estate.
Never trust governments even if they are pro Bitcoin. I'm skeptical of Max Keiser as well.
Id say go visit and travel there but don't sell your whole life and move there until you've visited and verified the truth.
