Honestly, my heart goes out to those like Lola that have to deal with the violence and continuing to be silenced on matters that are important. We need to have these open conversations. The muslim community needs to be having those conversations, to stop shielding domestic violence, rape and the men that perpetuate this. This is not Islamophobia to point this out.
I do agree that the letter shouldn't have been edited too. That is wrong what they have put people that signed it under.
