Still cooking, big thing right now is that they’re trying to stanch the bleeding w/ onerous “training contracts” that lock you in. Just tried for one where they want you to sign a 5-year $100,000, non prorated deal. If you leave at any time before it’s up, they’re suing you for all six figures of that….3-day simulator training they provided you.
Most aren’t so bad, but regionals are dying. Rumor has it MESA is about to keel over (if UAL[?] finally quits feeding them money) because they don’t have the pilots to use their fleet. Same with southwest, heard their contract negs are heated right now, company doesn’t care that 1/5th of its fleet is sitting idle at the moment.
