"content": "Fungal Highways\n\nFungal hyphae is able to move water and minerals from hyphal tips to the plant roots. At the same time, in the same hyphae, sugars from the plants find their way to the hyphal tips. No-one knows exactly how this bidirectional traffic occurs, much less managed. \n\nI theorize that the minerals in ionic form are dissolved in the water moving toward the plant while plant sugars are contained inside vesicles (small, spherical, membrane-bound sacs) carried by kinesin motor proteins walking along cytoskeletal structures like microtubules and actin filaments.\n\n https://blossom.primal.net/bbb2274ca9894e77208cdc903da91e2021c3f17943c83cb7422a7503ce7e90fe.png \n https://blossom.primal.net/4d9ba86f50cf51d5ab214e2079dde737e88c218a980eadc49ec1a32c2645eaa6.jpg ",
