The US Government broke up AT&T in 1982.
The critical software of AT&T, largely written in COBOL software became a company called Bellcore in 1983.
Bellcore was renamed to Telcordia Technologies after a change of ownership in 1996.
Telecordia was bought by Ericsson in Jan 2012.
Ericcson now exposed doing very bad things.
Involved in election fraud? Sending money to ISIS in Iraq?
Seems kinda odd for a telco software company to be doing this, right?
