Unfortunately, it’s true for a lot of braindead people. There are five types of Nintendo fans: Mario fans, Mario Kart fans, Smash fans, Pokémon fans, and lastly, overall Nintendo fans. Each of these groups will pay any price to play the next title in line. They’ve been waiting more than eight years for a new Mario Kart (which is funny, because that’s thanks to Nintendo’s failure with the Wii U). There are literally people who play Mario Kart daily without stopping.
It’s insane, but it is what it is, everyone has their own passion. However, passion sometimes clouds people’s thinking. Why the hell would you spend so much on a brand new system for just a single game? It’s kind of the same vibe as people who bought a PS5 at launch just to play Bloodborne and TLOU again, lol. We’re doomed with these guys who blow all their money without a second thought. And the argument “well, they aren’t poor” doesn’t really stick here, there’s no way that in a third-world country like Brazil you’ve got people sitting on that much money. It’s just guys maxing out their credit cards and I heard that payment in installments is becoming more and more common across the whole globe.
