I know that nobody wants to hear this, but the truth is, most rare earth mines are slavery-at-gunpoint camps.
Most corporate users of rare earth materials obtain them through very complex laundering operations.
It's still slavery. And it's in every computing device you use.
It's in *my* computer, too, and my phone, and my fiber modem, and my router. (It's not in my car, which is ancient, but it's in most cars.)
