this is why I have way more respec for 8 and 16 bit era devs. Assembly was the really the only choice for having a good and efficient running game. Not only that but knowing the limitations of the hardware and finding amazing ways to do things that other people said were impossible to do.

Game devs now are lazy and inefficient and would probably mostly fail if they had to code that way.
