I was way too young when I went to Paris with my parents to remember. But yes, the race definitely captured the Parisian vibe of grandeur, but also pretty parks, and poorer banlieues. Wasn't it awesome that nothing went wrong in terms of crowd control. I really was like, "don't touch them" as some of the crowd touched the riders. I guess, that's probably common in these races but geesh that could go so wrong! It didn't and no other dramas, which made it even more enjoyable to watch.
