Exactly 20 years ago, in May 2005, the daily newspaper Danas was following political turmoil in the Belgrade municipalities of Grocka and Zvezdara, where attempts to change the municipal leadership had caught public attention. The focus was on attempts by the Serbian Radical Party to expand its influence in power to another municipality - Grocka, while in Zvezdara, the Democratic Party and its coalition partners had unsuccessfully tried to remove the then-mayor of the SRS from office.
