What folks don’t understand is UBI saves money in the medium to long term with its statistics of lowering crime, better health outcomes, and promoting entrepreneurial pursuits.
It also removes the incentive to create ineffective social welfare programs, many of which only 1/4th of Americans who are eligible access anyway due to confusing enrollment processes. Many entitlement program also incentives things such as unemployment, remaining at or below poverty level, etc due to what will be revoked if folks do rise above certain thresholds.
